These are some of my prays
1:
Dear Lord Jesus,

I come to you with thanks-giving.
Thank you for my Mum and my Dad. I honor them this day.
Thank you for my brother, my best friend.
Thank you for this day.
Today, I will turn my ear to wisdom and apply my heart to understanding.
I call out for insight,
I cry aloud for understanding.
I will look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure.
For even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right. So show me Your ways.
Show me what is pure and right.
Above all else I will guard my HEART, for it is the well-spring of life.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you oh Lord. For, he whose tongue is deceitful falls into trouble.
So set a guard over my MOUTH, O Lord and keep watch at the door of my LIPS. Keep me from trouble.
I am an obedient son and no rebellion operates in me.
My EYES are fixed on you, Jesus. Open my EYES that I may see wonderful things.
Make level paths for my feet that I may take, only the ways that are firm.
Help me to make right choices according to the Word of God. Direct my path, this day.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Honesty’s the Best Policy!

I must be honest, mustn’t I
I should not ever tell a lie.
Why you ask, why you say
Well if I lie, trust goes away!

Did something wrong and broke the vase
I got in trouble way to fast!
I blamed my brother, and told a big one.
But he told my mum just what I’d done!

I shook my head denied it all.
It wasn’t me who threw the ball
Was it the cat? Maybe my frog?
It could of even been our dog?

My eyes darted, my face grew hot.
Does mum believe me?
Probably not!
I bit my lip and gave a sigh.
I could not continue with this lie!

I did it, I broke the vase! Shame!
I’m so sorry I lied, I cried in vain.
I know I should have told the truth
But I’m a kid a carefree youth!

What can I do to make it right?
Now my pocket money’s out of sight.
I now have learnt a valuable lesson
Speak the truth in every season.

This is the end of the story I tell!
I hope you’ve learned to be honest as well!

By Me & my Mother
Son & Mum
